ISO 24712 8601 Information Technology Interchange

The International Standard provides a list of test pages in an industry standard format. These pages are used to test the cartridge yield for ink and toner that are color-coordinated. This test suite doesn't specifically focus on printing images. Instead, it is intended to give a sampling from common consumer pages. The ISO/IEC 19798 as well as ISO/IEC 2471 provide detailed information about how to use these pages.
The special system of global standardization is made up of IEC (the International Organization for Standardization) and ISO (the International Organization for Standardization). Members of IEC and ISO are able to take part in the creation of International Standards by joining technical committees. Each technical committee is responsible for addressing specific fields of technical activities. IEC and ISO have technical committees which collaborate in areas of mutually beneficial. In liaison with ISO/IEC, other international organisations, both governmental and not-governmental, participate in this effort. ISO/IEC JTC 1 is an international technical committee that was created by IEC and ISO in the field of information technology. International Standards are created following the guidelines of ISO/IEC Directives.
Part 2. Part 2.

Draft International Standards, which have been approved by the joint committee of technical experts, are sent to all national bodies for a vote. Publication as an International Standard needs to be approved by at most 75 percent of the national body who casts a vote. Certain elements could be patentable. IEC and ISO are not responsible for the identifying of all or any patent rights. Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC1 created ISO/IEC 24712. This new edition cancels and replaces the previous edition (ISO/IEC 24712:2006) that is minor revisions.

Colour test pages for measurement of the consumable yield for office equipment. 1 Scope The scope of this International Standard is to define colour test pages for the measurement of consumable yield. The test page suite contains four "customer" type documents as well as one "diagnostic" documents, which are used for determining the consumable end of ink and toner. These pages can be used for electro-photographic, inkjet printers and multi-function devices that have a digital printing path, i.e. All-in-one machines that can print digitally.

This International Standard contains a list of test pages in a common format file that can be used in testing yields consumable for testing. These pages are described in ISO/IEC 19988 and ISO/IEC 23711. These pages are meant to represent a few kinds of documents employed in offices and at in the home. These pages aren't intended to be utilized for photo printing or other specific applications. 2 Normative References The following documents must be referred to in order to apply this document.
